Psychologist
Cynthia Kunze
"We live in a global world and we are more connected then ever. Yet, we still need help figuring out how we can more deeply connect and how we can better understand ourselves and others. Frankly, we need each other more than ever now and we need to learn ways to get this need for deep and meaningful connection met."

About Me
My name is Cynthia Kunze and I am originally from the USA and have been living as an expat for over 18 years. Before moving to Germany, I worked as a registered psychologist in Sydney, Australia in my own private practice and taught courses at UWS and UNSW. In the USA, I received my BA and MA in psychology and worked in treatment facilities for children, adolescents and adults as well as teaching psychology courses at universities. During my academic career in both the USA and Australia, I presented international papers at conferences all over the world. With over 23 years of experience in psychological services and education, I currently work with clients at my private practice in Munich, Germany, as well as online.
As a psychologist, research and education are very important to me. I have conducted extensive research and made presentations exploring how popular media effects body image, self-esteem and the desire for physical transformation. Currently, I am conducting research on the benefits and limitations of using eTherapy technologies (such as phone, webcam, secure chat rooms and email) as a means of conducting therapy.
During my professional life, I have lived in the USA, France, Mexico, Australia and Germany and have traveled extensively through North America, Central America, and Europe. As a native English speaking psychologist, I am able to offer clients, particularly the expatriate community, psychological services in English to help assist with the difficulties they might be experiencing.
