Support for Young Minds – In Person and Online
At PsyShrink, we offer compassionate, professional therapy for children and adolescents navigating emotional, behavioral, academic, and life challenges. We support:
Children aged 8 and up in our offices in Munich and Frankfurt
Youth aged 12 and up via secure online sessions
Growing up today — especially in an international or cross-cultural environment — can be overwhelming. Our experienced therapists provide a safe, structured space for young clients to explore what’s going on inside and develop tools to better understand and manage their emotions.
When Therapy Can Help
Children and teens come to therapy for a wide range of reasons, including:
Anxiety, worry, or perfectionism
Sadness, mood changes, or low self-confidence
Difficulty with focus or emotional regulation
Academic stress or school refusal
Friendship or peer problems
Family changes, such as separation, divorce, or moving
Grief and loss
Identity, gender, and self-expression
Cultural adjustment or feeling out of place
Social media and screen-related issues
Whether your child is dealing with something new or has been struggling for some time, therapy can help them feel supported and less alone.
In-Person Therapy (Ages 8+)
Our child and adolescent therapists work in Munich and Frankfurt, offering face-to-face support for kids as young as 8. These sessions may incorporate play, art, and other developmentally appropriate tools — along with talk-based approaches as the child matures.
We also include parent guidance and collaboration, especially for younger children, to help reinforce skills and insight at home.
Online Therapy (Ages 12+)
Online therapy can be a convenient and effective option for teens and pre-teens aged 12 and up — especially those who are busy, tech-comfortable, or living outside major cities.
Sessions take place on secure video platforms and are adapted to suit each young person’s needs and comfort level.
We also support international and expat teens, including “third culture kids,” who may be navigating relocation, school transitions, or identity issues.
For International Families
At PsyShrink, many of our clients come from multilingual, international, or cross-cultural homes. Our therapists are familiar with the unique challenges that globally mobile families face — such as cultural shifts, language transitions, and questions of identity and belonging.
